Maybe next time

Talking in English is way harder than I thought before I came to this country, especially because I need some lessons in the correct way in which I must pronounce some words. I understand it, but I don’t think the people I speak it with understand me quite well; I’m out of practice. Being a cashier at my workplace is helping me improve that skill, but there are a lot of things I still need to bear in mind in order to become better. I feel pretty lucky, because I’d be completely lost if it weren’t for all the years I studied this language, and now I know how much advantage I have over those who doesn’t speak it. Practice makes the master, they say.
